Fesztiválország

Documentary Film | 94 min

Festival Land is not just a movie, but an imprint of an era, the history of Hungarian pop music festival culture – from the heroic age to the present day. It shows how Hungary became Europe’s festival superpower and how it shaped one of the most important, elementary needs of our existence: the experience of freedom – from Sziget to Balaton Sound, from VIP to the main stage.

Backstage stories, euphoric crowds and iconic musicians – András Lovasi, Halott Pénz, Bagossy Brothers Company, Quimby, Soma Mamagésa, Дeva, Beton.Hofi, Sisi, Margaret Island, Blahalouisiana, Pogány Induló – are all part of the festival chronicle, in which celebration was born from lack and freedom from dust.
