BLACK WHITE BLUE GREEN RED is a retrospective film journey through the oeuvre of a sensitive painter, Éva Köves, reflecting the cultural and social transformations of Hungary after the change of regime. She entered a new chapter in her life with her graduation in 1989 – a personal turning point that also marked the beginning of the transformation of social structures. Through Éva Köves’ art and career, the hopes, illusions and dilemmas of the nineties emerge, presenting the fragile balance of historical and human change.
