The eighty-year-old, multi-award-winning cinematographer Tibor Máthé tells the story of his childhood and youth, his studies, his schools, the stages of his journey to becoming a filmmaker, as well as his creative experiences and considerations. We can see excerpts from the most important films he photographed, while the directors of these films also speak: András Surányi, Péter Gárdos, Ferenc Grunwalsky, Ildikó Enyedi and János Szász. In a short sequence, cinematographer Tibor Máthé also appears as a teacher.
