Garden of Solomon

Garden of Solomon is a hypnotic experimental film in which grains, shadows and plant textures merge into a meditative examination of origins.
The footage was shot in the Linz Botanical Garden with a test camera on Super 8 black and white film. I developed the film myself in the university laboratory. The graininess of the film and the technical “errors” stem from the characteristics of the raw material and the manual laboratory work.
In the garden — a fragile juxtaposition of darkness and light, where birth and death are inextricably linked — everything is in constant transformation. Garden of Solomon explores this threshold: the moment where the formless becomes form, the invisible becomes visible, and the pre-existence becomes existence.
