objet a

“The partner of the subject expressing the need, the self, is not the Other, but the substitution of something that creates desire. (…) There are only speaking bodies, I said, who create the concept of the world. But here we can say that the world as such, the world of being completely filled with knowledge, is only a dream, the dream of the speaking body. There is no knowing subject. Only in objet a do subjects exist as correlates of each other” (Jacques Lacan) “True is the whole” (Georg W. F. Hegel)
