About the film
The film is a remake of the 1921 silent film The Death of Dracula, which was made a year before Murnau’s famous Nosferatu. The original film was lost during World War II, but was reimagined by eight young directors based on the surviving novel of the same name. The story, which differs from Bram Stoker’s story, unfolds as a series of nightmares and events set in a mental asylum, where Dracula is one of the patients.
