The documentary “As the clock goes” is about the history of the former Jewish community in Székelyudvarhely. To the city in the XIX. Jews who immigrated in the 19th century became Hungarian speakers and did not change their relationship and cultural attachment to Transylvanian Hungarians even after Trianon. Not a single Jew lives in the settlement anymore, most of the Holocaust survivors left Transylvania and moved to Israel. The local aspects of the tragedy that ended more than a century of peaceful coexistence were completely unknown to today’s Székelyudvar residents, and the creators of the documentary wanted to change that.
