The film explores the absence of human touch. This dystopian story takes place in a world where an unknown virus renders people unable to physically touch one another. Through the experiences of a Hungarian family—a mother, father, and son—we confront the problem and search for a solution in this extraordinary road movie. The present-day events unfold during winter, and it’s no coincidence that the setting is Europe’s largest lake, where the landscape is icy, cold, blue, and white. Only in flashbacks do we return to the warmth of summer, a time when everything seemed fine.
