Being Here, Dreaming There

In my experimental film Being Here, Dreaming There, which premiered at the 2025 Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, I explore the tension between the analog material of Super 8 private films and VR-based digital image generation. The three-minute film, made as part of the collective project 14 Variaciones de lo Íntimo, evokes Peter Kubelka’s Our African Journey, where VR distortion appears as a spatial, self-enclosing version of montage.
