About the film
Papa, directed by Attila Ponczók, follows a suddenly angry grandfather whose entire life has been shaped by generational patriarchal patterns. These patterns now collide with Hungary’s housing crisis. The man’s pride upends the lives of his devoted sons as they desperately try to find him a home and grapple with the tangled and dysfunctional social system that is supposed to protect him.
