YOYOEGGSAN
Experimental Film | 3 min
YOYOEGGSAN is an experimental travelogue, the filmic character of which emphasizes the camera editing technique and the improvisational use of the camera. In the mini family road movie, I documented my first trip to Japan, where my parents and I met my half-Japanese, half-Hungarian nephew, Jo, nicknamed Jojo, for the first time in person. He is the central but only occasionally appearing figure in the film, and he is only three years old at the time. My meeting with him was an acquaintance without language, not understanding each other’s speech, we tried to approach each other in a completely primary, intuitive way. Similar to the movement of the camera, the uncertain, sometimes hasty scanning characterized my first personal experience of Japan and the establishment of contact with Japanese people.
