A mi Erkelünk

The musical documentary aims to create a complete picture of one of the greatest Hungarian composers, Ferenc Erkel, born in Gyula, with the help of musicologists and historians. We can hear all this in the narration of the Kossuth Grand Prize-winning actor, Károly Mécs. We can also get to know the composer’s descendants who are alive today and who are involved in music, and who still preserve the ideals and legacy of their great predecessor. The family members and experts who speak in the film share many previously unknown interesting facts and anecdotes about Erkel’s life and work.
