1944
short film | 22 min.
The story is based on the diary of a young woman who was deported by the Nazis – along with my grandmother – from Budapest to Germany on November 28, 1944. After spending six months in the Ravensbrück and Penig death camps, he arrived home at noon on May 27, 1945, and soon began to write down the horrors he had experienced. I found this manuscript decades later, among my grandmother’s personal belongings in the family archive. In this film, the things written in the diary are told by young people who have no indirect experience or trauma related to the Holocaust.
