In this emotional sports comedy, Kálmán (Scherer Péter) takes the world of button soccer very seriously, seeing it as a high-stakes sport rather than a child’s game. Together with his team, they are preparing for the European Championship. These obsessive fans of the game, the “pöci-foci” golden-fingered titans, have a good chance of qualifying, but at the final stretch of the qualifiers, they are disqualified due to financial issues. Their lives fall into crisis as they lose what was most valuable to them. However, an unexpected solution arises when a billionaire (Patrick Duffy) mistakenly transfers 100 million forints to their account. While they know the money isn’t meant for them, the temptation is too great, as this gives them a chance to make it to the European Championship… Lepattanó is an emotional sports comedy about vulnerability, love, perseverance, and a tribute to the beloved Hungarian game of button soccer.
