Béla (László Szacsvay) is a stubborn, elderly man who lives alone and struggles to cope with change. After a minor accident, his son places him in a retirement home, leaving Béla feeling as though the whole world is conspiring against him. From that moment, he has only one goal: to escape the institution as quickly as possible. His unlikely partner in this plan is Zoé (Lilla Kizlinger, winner of the Berlin Silver Bear – Forest – I See You Everywhere; Explanation for Everything), a rebellious 17-year-old working at the home as part of a punishment. Despite their nearly sixty-year age gap, their shared stubbornness, loneliness, and sense of being a burden to everyone quickly turn them into allies.
