feature film | 86 min
Tamás Lefkovics, a kind-hearted yet stubborn boxing coach (played by Zoltán Bezerédi), has such a strained relationship with his son Iván (Tamás Szabó Kimmel) that they haven’t spoken in years. Iván fled to Israel to escape the conflict with his father, where he now lives as an Orthodox Jew, raising a family. From Budapest, he keeps in touch only with his mother (Ágnes Máhr). When his mother passes away unexpectedly, Iván returns home with his six-year-old son (Leo Gagel) to observe the week-long Jewish mourning ritual, shiva, in the family home. Through the two men, two worlds collide, with the stakes being nothing less than the reunification of the family.
